MIQUEL BARCELO of The Gombeens will host a mask workshop in the Blue Teapot Theatre, Munster Avenue, on Saturday March 26 and Sunday 27 from 10am to 5pm.

CORE THEATRE College is launching its workshop programme for this year. Workshops will run from March to May before auditions start for the main course in September.

GALWAY’S CORE Theatre College will present a showcase of its work in the Nuns Island Theatre on Sunday November 21 at 8pm.

TWO MORE spaces are available for Core Theatre College’s 10 week professional theatre training course, which starts in September.

This year, Galway is going to get its first professional part-time theatre school. Amazingly, Galway does not have such a school despite its international theatrical reputation. Core Theatre College offers a serious 10-week foundation course for actors with 20 hours training per week in core theatre subjects such as voice, movement and acting technique. There will also be masterclasses in skills like Commedia Dell’Arte, mask work, singing, directing and stage combat.

CORE THEATRE College is a focused, part-time, professional theatre training course based in Galway which will run over 10 weeks starting on September 14.
